  Import Selected Files
Top  Previous  Next

This window comes up when you import files into Vordur. It allows you to select the Install Group, Owner and, optionally, Producer for the file or files that you are about to import.

selectgropownerproducer
The Install Group is required, but the Owner and Producer are optional.

By checking the "Use Version Information" Vordur will attempt to retrieve the Producer information from the file or files being imported. This may not always be available or may not be accurate, but you can change the Producer information at any time.

update install - fileversion
The Version information is retrieved for all EXE files if it is available. Some installs may not include any version information. What version information is included depends on how the installs are created and may include everything shown in the image above, or only a few.

importfiles - file menu
You can right click on the file list to choose if you want to import the file or not. You can also use the [+] and [-] keys on the keyboard. The [space bar] will change the setting from import to not import. The [Enter] key will bring up the same menu as when you right click.

You can also use the File properties option to open the File Properties dialog if you need more information about the file that would help you to decide if you want to import it or leave it.

file properties - general
This is the standard Windows File properties window and will show you all the available information about the file.
