  Import Files
Top  Previous  Next

The Import Files window has a drive and folder tree on the left and a file list on the right. You can navigate to any local drive or mapped network drive to import install file information.

To select a single file in the list on the right, just click on the file. Right clicking brings up a popup menu where you can select to either run the file or import it.

To select multiple files, you can either select one by one, by holding the Ctrl key on the keyboard down while you click on the files that you want to select. You can also select a range of files by selecting one, then holding the Shift key on the keyboard down and select another file. Everything between the two files that you selected will now be selected. Right clicking on the selected files brings up a popup menu where you can select to import the selected files.

Below the list on the right, there is a line with information about how many files there are in the selected folder. It will also tell you how many, if any, files have already been imported from that folder. By default you do not see files that have already been imported. If you want to see all the files in the folder that you have already imported some files from, check the "Show All Files" checkbox at the bottom and the file list will refresh to show all the files, including imported files.

Loading the file list can take some time if there is a lot of files in the selected folder. During that period a progress bar shows up below the list on the right to indicate the progress.

When you select to import files, the Import Selected Files window comes up and lets you further specify import options.

Click the Multi Folder button to bring up the "Import Multiple Folders" window to import files from the selected folder and its subfolders.

You can resize the lists, by moving the mouse cursor between them. When the mouse cursor changes to a resizing cursor, you can resize the lists left or right - see image below.
